Proposition 1: Educational Programs & Operations Levy
Proposition 2: Safety, Security & Information Technology Levy

Why These Levies Matter

Our community believes in strong schools and safe places for kids to learn, grow, and succeed. Renewing Propositions 1 and 2 continues our shared commitment to students and the future of Kennewick. This is about maintaining what our schools rely on today — not adding new taxes or expanding beyond existing funding.

Proposition 1

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS & OPERATIONS LEVY

Proposition 1 continues local funding that supports classrooms, teachers, and educational programs. It helps bridge the gap between what the state funds and what our students need every day.If renewed, the district also qualifies for an additional $16.5 million per year in state Local Effort Assistance — $66 million over four years — funding that is only available if this levy is approved.

Proposition 2

Proposition 2 continues funding for the technology students rely on to learn, connect, and thrive. It also supports the people and resources that help keep schools safe, including:• School resource officers and safety staff
• Custodians and maintenance teams
• Technology systems used daily by students and staff
This levy maintains existing services and safety measures our schools depend on.

Not New Taxes. Continued Local Funding.

• Replaces existing levies approved by voters
• Maintains current local funding levels
• Continues a stable local tax rate for schools
• Supports students and safe learning environments for four years

Vote Yes to Renew Propositions 1 & 2 by February 10.
